Conveniently located just east of the financial district, the
Friends School in Detroit offers stellar academic opportunities in the tradition of other Quaker values schools such as the Sidwell Friends School, which President Obama’s children attend.

Each of our 2009 eighth grade graduates was accepted into the top college preparatory school of their choice: University Liggett School, Cranbrook Schools, Cass Technical High School, Detroit Country Day, Our Lady of Mercy High School, University of Detroit Jesuit High School, The International Academy, The Roeper School, Renaissance High School and the Olney Friends School in Ohio.  Several students received lucrative financial aid packages from those schools.

Later in life, our students graduate from the finest universities and become successful civic and business leaders, esteemed academicians and highly regarded medical and legal professionals.

kids3_small.jpgThis tradition of academic opportunity and professional success is made available at tuition levels that are conscientiously maintained at one-third of the cost of other academically superior schools.  Yet, we offer small class sizes that never exceed 18 students; a close-knit and nurturing community; and Quaker values, including diversity and social justice, respect and integrity.

We also offer an excellent pre-school program for three- and four-year-old children.

Please contact our Admissions Director, Mary Roberts, to talk about the school and to arrange a tour.
